Galaxy on Fire 2: Supernova - Review

Supernova is the third chapter of the Galaxy on Fire 2 iOS game. I've already covered the first and second instalments in the past for MacLife, but here's a quick recap...

Galaxy on Fire 2 is a space exploration, combat and trading game whose concept is very similar to the 80s sensation, Elite. Of course, the graphics are sublime in comparison, and unlike Elite, there's a storyline which you can choose to follow or not (nothing will happen to the main storyline while you're off exploring on your own).

Shameless

Writing for nothing, a concept I'm exploring with this new blog, is not something to consider lightly. Being a freelancer, if I don't get commissioned, I don't earn any money, so writing for nothing potentially removes precious minutes, even hours away from my usual bacon hunting activities.

It also takes time away from my family as writing for nothing doesn't magically add a couple of hours to my days.

Covering all the Bases

We all knew Apple would announce a smaller 7.9 inch iPad at today's event. In fact, so much had leaked out from various sources that it wasn't much of a surprise at all.

Personally, I found the new iMacs much more amazing from an engineering standpoint. They're absolutely gorgeous and now more than ever before, potential customers will wonder where the computer went : it's thinner than many competitors' standalone displays for god's sake!

In God We Trust ?

I stumbled onto an article in the Huffington Post from June of this year which shockingly stated that according to a poll, 46% of Americans believe in Creationism.

And it's not as clear cut to say "it's ok, as it means 54% believe in evolution", because 32% of those questioned thought some kind of divine influence had a hand in evolution (are these the proponents of Intelligent Design I wonder?).

Digital Trials and Online Tribble-ations

They say bad things come in threes...

Since the demise of iWeb (it's obviously not dead yet since it still works under Mountain Lion, but all signs point to a terminal case of developer apathy), I've been looking for an app that would give me the flexibility and customisability of that program while creating good clean code (iWeb is/was notoriously bad at the latter). Yes I could use Dreamweaver, or even Flux, which I found to have a lot of potential, but I just don't want to get my hands dirty - I want something that makes it easy and convenient to write a blog with.
